Friends of Aine is New Hampshireโs only nonprofit dedicated solely to supporting children, teens, young adults and families grieving the death of a loved one. Through peer support programs, educational resources, and community training, we help young people build resilience, emotional strength, and the coping skills they need to move forward.
We rely 100% on the generosity of individual, organizational donors, and amazing volunteers to provide support to children and their families completely free of charge.
Weโ provide bereavement support services and resources to children and families who have suffered the death of a loved one.
Everyone has their own way to grieve. We help them find their way.

Every August, the grounds of the Bedford Town Pool and High School fill with the energy of hundreds of young athletes. โโIโve found that people tend to receive the most support for their grief within the days to weeks after someone dies. This is when people are most likely to offer condolences, physically show up, and offer meals.
To me, the holidays are all about spending time with my loved ones and giving back to my community and those who mean the most to me. That becomes a little harder when one of the most important people in your life dies.
Iโve lost count of the number of times someone has told me Iโm โmature for my age.โ At the time, I thought I was supposed to take that as a compliment and embrace it. Looking back, I realize that I had no idea just how young I really was.
