Just staying in touch to let you know what Friends of Aine is up to during this time. Our staff is currently working remotely with most of our emphasis on supporting our Good Grief families.
We currently support 68 children and their families and making sure we are there for them is our top priority. With grief, there is already such fear, sadness, and loneliness; grief kids and teens come to our program for peer support, to not feel alone and to learn to integrate their grief into their lives to find balance and eventually harmony. In extraordinary times, when we are more isolated than ever, it is imperative that our kids, teens, and families know we are still there for them.
Our volunteers continue to create meaningful activities for families to do together at home and are working on creating videos reading storybooks, doing small crafts, etc. Emails are going out from our Program Coordinator to make sure our families know they can call for guidance anytime.
As the pandemic continues, we will make all necessary changes in order to best serve and support our families and communities. Please look out for one another, stay home and connect with Friends of Aine whenever you need us – [email protected] or call 603-668-1207.
