Training: 2-hour volunteer orientation training followed by 11-hour facilitator training (provided free of charge) and 3 hours of observation time. Background check required.
Commitment: 5 hours every other week during the academic calendar year for facilitation and support of grief groups and 2 hours per month of continuing education sessions; 1-year commitment desired.
Description: Good Grief facilitators will always work as part of a facilitation team, under the direction of our licensed clinician; these critical volunteers co-facilitate our peer-to-peer, activity-based support groups for grieving children, teens, and their adult caregivers. Facilitators lead activities in small groups to create an opportunity for our grieving population to share their own personal experiences, explore topics related to grief, learn coping strategies, and be exposed to the Good Grief program and its four tasks of mourning.

Commitment: 9 to 14 hours weekly based on program schedule; 1-year commitment desired.
Description: Oversee our volunteer facilitators and the execution of the Good Grief program for a specific meeting time/location. Meet with Program Coordinator to discuss and plan for program execution and keep her apprised of group information. Hold office hours to allow for intakes of new families/children.

Description: Provide support to the Program Coordinator during scheduled group meeting times. Assist in set-up, clean up, prep work, and data collection and entry; serve as greeters.

Pet training requirement: Must have certification for therapy work.
Commitment: 4 hours per month
Description: Pet owners/pets attend Good Grief groups and/or Center events.
Training: 2-hour volunteer training and background check required.
Commitment: 6 to 10 hours per week, prefer consistent time each week.
Description: Perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing our organization’s general administrative activities.
Major Responsibilities:
Training: 2-hour volunteer orientation training recommended.
Commitment: Average of 5 hours per week, but workload may be less during some weeks and ramp up as event approaches. Flexible work schedule.
Description: Help to plan and execute events and activities to include: Gala (March), TryAthlon (August), Butterfly Release (July), and Aine’s Fund (November) in addition to other events as needed.

Description: Help obtain corporate sponsors for our events and programs, identify funding opportunities, and connect us with donors who believe in our mission.

Description: Help to identify or establish volunteer pools, make the community aware of our programming and resources, and solicit potential donors.
